Math second grade word problem: 1
There are 109 boxes in the store. We bought 42 more boxes for the store. How many boxes are there in the store now?
Solution:
In 109 boxes in the store
And then we bought 42 boxes in the store
109 + 42 = 151
Therefore 151 boxes in the store now.
Math second grade word problem: 2
A fruit wholesaler had 128 grapes. He sold 52 grapes. How many grapes did he have left?
Solution:
Wholesaler 128 grapes
Sold 52 grapes
Left grapes =?
So, 128 – 52 = 76
He had totally 76 grapes left.
Math second grade word problem: 3
There are 11 pine apples in each box. How many are there in 8 boxes?
Solution:
In one box = 11 pine apples
In 8 boxes =?
11 * 8 = 88
There are 88 pine apples in 8 boxes.
Math second grade word problem: 4
Andrew bought a sack of 62 kg of flour. He packed the flour equally into 8 bags. How many kilograms of flour in the each bag?
Solution:
In one sack = 62 kg
Then 3 bags =?
